Tom:
Make sure that you do not have a conflict with the ORDER clause, i.e. if
your breaks are on Date and Name, make sure that you that your do not
specify an ORDER BY Name ASC, Date ASC.
A couple of other observations, why would you use the ".#DATE" variable as a
break? It is today's date and it will always be the same for any one report
run. The report appear to be sorted so that it will break by today's date
(???), fullname and then for every fullname by Treas. Title? You might try
setting a new page at each break so it will give you an idea of what is
happening...

Subject: [RBG7-L] - Report Question--Breaks

Good Evening/Morning all

I am working on a receipt style report that is based on a single view. I
have tried to set break points (on date, on idnum, on full name...) but
continue to get a run-on report....like they aren't even there.

my view is based on the combination of two views (one Averages
contributions, one brings current transaction info, last one brings mailing
information)

report is structured like this (** indicates where I've tried setting the
break points)

.#DATE **

fullname **
addr
csv

Dear name

paragraph variable

paragraph variable

thank you variable

Sincerely

Treasurer name

Treas Title **

Thank you for any help/information you may be able to provide. The report
was created in 7.1.

Tom
