Frank,
I also would like to take a look at this. I see a few Access programs
around that do this...there are 4 corners that line up the document when
you scan it. From what I've seen it is a cumbersome process in Access,
and I'm sure there is an easier way. Right now I am sticking to bar
codes, but there are some great application needs for OMR.

Subject: [RBG7-L] - OMR & RBase

Has anyone done anything with OMR (Optical Mark Readers) and R:Base
before ? I am looking for advice/experience on equipment and how they
have handled bring the data into the database. I have someone who is
looking to read several hundred Mark cards daily (Mark Cards are the
fill in the bubble cards like on SAT's and Surveys) Then they want to
compile the data into a database. Ideally it would be nice to find a
reader that I could connect to via OBDC and give real time data. The
other option seems to be to batch process them out to ASCII and batch
upload them to R:Base. Any information/experience/suggestions would be
appreciated.

Thanks
