        Thanks for posting the article.  Somewhat
interesting.  There are a number of unspoken 
assumptions in the analysts view of the future
such as RFID devices will become VERY cheap,
virtually unlimited bandwidth, and infinitely
powerful machines.  If the level of reality
abstraction and measurement stored in
databases disappears then all summaries 
must be computed from the spatially dispersed 
signals generated by the RFIDs when they
are queried by the god machine.  Somehow I
don't think this is going to work well with
wildlife management databases - among other
data situations.  Lets for a moment assume
the query works perfectly (like in Star Trek)
where is the history of such query results going
to be stored.  Hmmm.  Does the word database
come to mind?
