Buddy,

After cleaning everything, running ad-aware, Norton SystemWorks, etc... when
I attempt to run the RBG75 beta installer, I get a message that I must
uninstall the previous version. I have nothing left of RBase on this
computer.

In your opinion, now what?

Thank you Buddy. I'm going to do this right now. I'll let you know how it
goes.

Claudine

Select RBase 75 from ControlPanel > Add Remove Programs to uninstall it.

Search the registery and remove anything associated with RBG75.

You then should be able to do a clean install. You may also want to do
this with RBG7.

Also make sure the following files are deleted from the system32 folder

     RB75_32.DLL RB75_INS.DLL RB75IO.DLL RBENGINE75.DLL

and the RBTI/RBG75 folder is deleted.

One thing I would do before re-installing is to re-boot the machine.

I just done this last week and everything went fine.

Claudine

I had this same problem about a year or so with 7.1. If memory serves me
right it was the rights for registery. Using regedt32 go to local machine >
software > rbase technologies > rbg75 Once you click on rbg75 you will see
the license key, at the top click on security > permissions add the user and
rights.

  Hope this helps

Buddy

Subject: [RBG7-L] - 7.5 Install Problems

Hi everyone,

I have been knocking my head against the wall with this one tonight. Only
one workstation where I cannot install 7.5. In fact, 7.1 is now also not
working...

Also, I've read the instructions that say that on WIN2K one should give the
user admin rights before installing; however, the instructions do not say at
what point to take them away... At some point, 7.5 will only work if the
user has admin rights and once returned to a regular power user, the program
continues to ask for the key and then announces an RBG7.exe error.

I simply want to remove everything and start from scratch. What, besides
the rbeng*.* files and .dlls should I look for? Any registry keys?

TIA,

Claudine :)
