Claudine,

There was a problem with some earlier 7.5 versions with the AUTOSKIP
settings and format mask. You can try setting AUTOSKIP OFF and see if
that helps.

This work for a 7.1 applications that I tinkered with.  This just for 2 
characters but I image that 13 additional L would work for you.
