Thanks for the suggestion Alastair.

Create was checked but I executed another “grant create to public” to verify.  Still have the same problem.

John,

Have you added "GRANT CREATE TO PUBLIC" to your permissions.

I don't know if it's still needed but long ago I found that TEMP tables needed it to work.

Regards,

Alastair.

Subject: [RBG7-L] - Temp tables and access rights

I have an application that uses Grants to restrict access.  Yesterday I added a sub application that uses temp tables for part of an edit process.  The application works fine when I am logged on as owner but becomes erratic when users log on.  Everything works fine except when I try to use edit forms that modify data in one of the temp tables (edit using, single table, scrolling region).  Sometimes all of the rows do not show up; sometimes they do; sometimes I get black vertical bars in some of the fields.  If I exit out of the application I can browse the temp table and see and/or edit all of the data.  I am pretty sure it has something to do with the access rights but I don’t think access rights should apply to a temp table since it only applies to the user that created it.

Does anyone have any idea what may be wrong?
