Did you know that using the latest version of R:BASE
7.5 and V-8 Turbo for Windows, you can achieve your
goal of designing a "master" application which can
connect/disconnect database(s) and then RUN anything
you wish for that database, using the application
designer menu form?

You can use R:BASE Application Designer Main Form,
(.RBA) without being associated with any database,
just like a Switchboard!

Here goes another RBG75/RBG8 "un-documented" feature.

Tip:

Before creating a SwitchBoard Application, make
sure that you are not CONNected to any database.

This will create an independent application with
all the power and features of R:BASE Application.

This is the R:BASE you have always wanted!
