Well said! It also really depends on what style of riding you prefer.
As I like to go mostly light touring or do long distance weekend rides
on the road the Ram gets my vote. It's a plus that it can deal with
the dirt when I feel so inclined. The journey of the Crane Bros
through Central Asian shows what sport touring bikes can do with s
strong set of wheels (although the bikes are still far more aggressive
than the Ram as shown by this quote "The geometry was based on that
used for the toughest professional races, e.g. the Paris-Roubaix, with
a lengthened wheelbase, softer angles (74o seat tube, 73o head tube)
and increased rake.)
