Thanks, Charles. My Waterford AHH has 135 rear spacing, but no dimples in the chainstays (not "dimples" exactly, I guess). Won't fit a 40mm tire (that measures 40mm). This may have to remain one of life's little mysteries. And it doesn't matter that much, because with the Schwalbe 35's I have on it now, it can do pretty much anything I need it to, within reason. Awesome bike. Just wondered why "my mileage is varying" from stated specs. -- Forrest
