No snow on Tam! but it was still very cold. I got to SF at about
8:30AM and rode through the City. It was a very nice morning, but
pretty cold. We (my girlfriend and I) got to fairfax at about 9:30
ready to climb up. Even though we were trying to ride in a good rhythm
to warm up, I still had numb toes and fingers almost the entire time.

The stretch between Alpine Dam and the ridge was still closed to car
traffic, but plenty of cyclists were going through (by the way, the
water level at the dam was pretty low). The ascent from the dam to
ridgecrest was scenic as ever, and still rank as one of our favorite
stretch, but riding in the shade on this morning was a little too
chilly. We got to Ridgecrest and appreciated the sun rays.

Even though there were no snow on saturday, the road crew had dumped
loose gravels on the road on ridgecrest near rock springs, as well as
on Pantoll all the way down to the ranger station, making the descend
a little hairy. The coast down to Mill Valley on Panoramic Highway and
Sequoia Valley Road was very nice.

I was pretty hungry and tired by the time I got to Sausalito, as I
didn't bring enough food was stubborn enough not to stop and buy some.
The climb up to the bridge was tougher than usual.

Overall, it was a pretty nice ride, I will probably wear a jacket next
time in these conditions
