Well I have to give it up to Esteban for rocking the albatross bars while
the rest of us were on drops.  He's got a motor inside, apparently.

Turns out the ride did have one casualty--when I got home I realized that
both of the seatrails on my Koobi saddle had cracked. Guess the Ti rails
couldn't support my gargantuan heft at 185lbs.  Luckily, they've already
said via e-mail that they will send me replacement rails.
