Even taken the wrong way, steel can be repaired.  A "crash of carbon" would
be a different story! :-)

How about using the term "crash" as in a "crash of rhinos". A "crash of
Rivendells" sounds good, though it obviously has odd connotations when used
in descrbing a group of bikes.
