I have not received an email update from Rivendell for, I don't know, three years? But I used to receive them regularly. I wonder if Rivendell lost a bunch of addresses somehow? So it is good that these be posted to the lists, and I suggest that somebody at Rivendell send it to the iBOB list as well.
I do appreciate the updates, particularly since we don't get Readers like we used to, and it has felt like we seldom hear from Grant's and Rivendell's unique perspective. And there was a lot of good and informative stuff in this update. Changing the subject, I want to say that I really like the Sackville bags. I would absolutely buy one if my financial situation were rosier. I think the metal tags are an especially nice touch. Furthermore, I really like the Bombadil, despite my reservations about it; and for that reason, my opinion is that Rivendell's stock frameset options are better than ever.
