Not really sure I agree with that logic.  My feeling is that  electronic
shifting complicates a relatively simple system.  That simplicity is a core
element of why I enjoy cycling.

With the different bike models, there are real costing differences, varying
complexities in materials choices, different manufacturers, etc.  One of
them isn't really any more right or appropriate by itself. The person
deciding gets to make the choice.

With components, there have been some fairly dry periods when it was tough
to find the simple stuff that works well. Again, that's one of the reasons
that RBW caught my attention.  When they started, you couldn't find most of
the stuff anywhere.

They aren't really the same.  I'd describe the Hillborne as a melding of the
Atlantis with the Hilsen.  But, if we're going to discuss that, it really
ought to be a seperate topic, eh?
