For me, a B.17 is good for 100km right out of the box. Give it a couple of hundred miles and it's equally good for 100 mi. The last time I put a new Brooks Team Pro on a bike, in 1991, it took me all winter (1,000 miles) to get it to be fully comfortable for 100km.
