I put some 40mm wide Berthouds on my Rambouillet with has Shimano brakes. The fenders fit and with more than enough clearance for my Ruffy Tuffys. The only problem is that when the front brake is engaged it pushes on the fender which comes closer to the tire. The fender is not rubbing on the tire, there is plenty of clearance. Still, it's annoying. I tried mounting the fender lower from the brake arch but that didn't solve the problem like I thought it would. The wheel is in mounted correctly and straight. I know there are plenty of you out there with Rambouillets/Romulus' with Berthouds and Shimano brakes, do you folks have this problem.
The fenders look nice and allow much better coverage than the SKS P45s I had on there before. if I remember correctly there was some fender movement with those which I just got used to. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. By the time I get some of these for my AHH I'll be a pro at mounting them. --Mike --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
