Yup nivachrome, I think it was a bit stronger so they were able to draw the tubes a bit thinner. We have always like the bike. Went down to Santana to get a braze on for the bike so we would be able to use the new dic brake. Looked around saw all the new upgrades and also saw Bills Beyond tandem. Lifted it and that was about all it took to make the big purchase. They did all the upgrades we wanted on the noventa and we ended up buying it back. Santana said they would sell the noventa for us on ebay. The selling price of the noventa was then put toward the purchace of the new tandem. So now we still have an upgraded Noventa and a super light really fast Beyond. We put racks on the Noventa and it carries the weight well, we have even pulled a BOB trailer lots of miles behind it as well.
