I typically load the heavy items on the front of my Rivendell's (All-
Rounder & Atlantis).  IMHO the bikes handle well with heavy items up
front.

I did have a minor issue with a Nitto Campee front rack with removable
lowriders (rack assembly had five pieces).  The rack flexed and caused
a minor vibration (solvable by resting my knee on the top tube)
between 18-24 mph.
