I was hoping for a bit of advice about bottom brackets since I'm not much of a mechanic. My Atlantis which is a couple of years old has developed a very slight wiggle that seems to be in the bottom bracket. It gets worse if I ride for a while and makes a very slight clicking sound. If I tug on my cranks I can feel them move side to side a tiny bit. I took it by the local shop which did not have time to fully service it on the spot, but they said that they suspected it was a cracked bearing and that I would probably have to get the bottom bracket replaced. They also said that I didn't need to worry about riding the bike b/c I couldn't do any damage to the frame. Can anyone here confirm that? Also, if I'm going to get a new bottom bracket, what size do I need for the Atlantis? And finally, if I spring for a Phil are there any opinions on whether I'll be able to feel a difference from the tange one that in there currently?
