I've been wearing the cotton cycling hats under my helmet both for the visor and the sweat absorbency. The wool hat is better on the absorbency score. The visor doesn't extend quite as much and that seems like a plus overall as I'm able to see better when riding in the drops. Wool it's what sheep wear but they don't get visors.
