Also found that my local True Value hardware store sells nice aluminum
spacers just a quarter inch thick with an ID that fits a 5mm rack bolt
perfectly. I've use them as mentioned, and also as fender spacers at
the chainstay bridge. Had to use them on the front fork recently to
mount fenders when I noticed interference with the p-clips and the
fork. They worked great.
