Glad there was such an easy solution. Unfortunately, I realized later that I agreed to loan my 84 Stumpjumper to a guy for our 90 mile backroad tour of Lake Pepin today. It will be his first time riding the bike, which is way too small for him. Maybe trading out my wheel was my way to subconsciously save him from a day of semi-extreme discomfort, without resorting to saying "no" (famous Minnesota passive aggressiveness). I guess I'll head in early, maybe get another wheel together before we leave. Or something.
