I'd hate to actually limit it to one "favorite"...

Like Ken, I really liked the behind-the-scenes journal from the early years.

My personal belief is that Grant has been writing one long article, and
we've been lucky enough to encounter it, both in print and in practice when
riding. The bikes and gear we enjoy are really the manifestation of the same
ideas. 

One specific story that has stayed with me was the article that started on
the cover of Reader #36 - The Poison in the Middle of the Golf Ball.

It's not about bicycles or even riding per se. He writes about characters
from his youth, encountered in little league and gym class.  I've always
liked the wonderful combination of nostalgia for the recollections and
wonder at gifted people who just sort of show up in our lives. After reading
that article, I've always felt I knew those kids myself.
