I would say yes! Assuming its a flat time trial, where aero equipment
would be most beneficial, aero equipment like aero bars, wheels and
fancy shaped carbon frames would definitely help!  I know this was
discussed to death way back when Greg Lemond rode in the 89 Tour. I
recall one mag, bicycling?, actually figured out how much time he
saved using aero bars, wheels, frame and even helmet.  Of course,
Fignon had none of those *advantages,* his choice, and lost by 8
seconds!

So, if all the aero stuff actually helped Greg, why wouldn't it work
for Burton?!
