Seven Cycles is a stand out bike company - like riv, they really believe in what they're doing and they're dedicated to some great causes. FWIW, Seven builds with steel too. and I don't think it's surprising to see "practical bikes" from them - riv doesn't have the market cornered on that, not by a long shot. the only difference is a matter design, construction and aesthetic, and that's for the rider to decide.
