My 2 pennies, then I'm out. 

Any nylon or polyester fabric(non mesh) glove is going to shield you from 
the sun's rays.   Before all thus UV "awareness" came about, people did 
just fine with regular clothing .   I believe "uv" clothing is really about 
a marketing niche, and the marketing is doing a great job at letting us 
know that the lovely sun is our enemy !  Is it really ?  Really ?   Says 
who , and by what completely arbitrary standards do they base their opinion 
on ? 

There is no one standard that states X article of clothing will block X 
amount rays for X time.  It's not happening .  This is clothing we are 
speaking of, not Space ships .  

We're all alright :)
