Being's I'm a living crash test dummy of sorts, here is my cycling concussion details. Of my 8 concussions, 2 were while cycling, both in college. The first happened on a short "neighborhood" ride to class without a helmet and involved my body slamming into the car's windshield with my head handing off to the side. My head never contacted any surface and a helmet would have greatly increased the whiplash. The second was while riding rollers indoors. I had a touring bike but the rollers were set for a racing bike's wheelbase. When I shifted my weight slightly forward at 30 miles an hour off I shot on the bike through the living room right into a bedroom door header. The helmet might have helped me then.
No idea what conclusions can be drawn from that. With abandon, Patrick -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
