Well, I said I was into simplifying my files! Another bike for sale, with more to come. Don't neglect the Bombadil I've already posted - it's a wonderful frameset, at a small fraction of its cost new. Offers entertained. But on to the next opportunity:
Here's the perfect city cruiser, built up on a gorgeous repainted 1985 MB-2 frameset. Size is L - I think it's a 22 inch. Plenty of standover for me - my PBH is 85 cm. New paint by Bruce at the Color Factory, a beautiful medium blue. Nice wheelset: original gold anodized Araya rims, front is original, rear is relaced to a 2 speed Sturmey Archer kickback coaster brake hub, gorgeous brown Schwalbe Fat Franks. Paul Neo-Retro canti brakes, with Paul Canti Lever, on the front to complement the coaster brake. Nitto Albatross bars, Nitto Technomic stem, Brooks Honey Slender grips, matching Brooks Honey B-17 Special in very nice condition. Original fluted seatpost, polished to new. White Industries ENO SS crankset, MKS Sneaker pedals. Beautiful handmade Choirbox saddlebag (blue to match bike); antique Peugeot bell that also matches bike color. Two-legged kickstand, Paul Flatbed rack, which works perfectly with Riv Large Shopsack (I have one to include if you want it, for an extra $35). I repacked the headset and BB (or installed a new one; can't remember). This is a wonderful bicycle. The two-speed hub is perfect for city riding, and the components are top-notch - all new, and ridden no more than 100 miles since the build. At least $1500 invested.
