This is a very cool stem, brutalist almost. The ones riv sold were higher rise than the older production ones. The riv ones came from a stash of rawish forgings that nitto found, riv requested them to have as much quill as possible. The riv ones might have had better polish but less interesting/clunky hardware. Or so says the absurd portion of my memory dedicated to possibly hopelessly mixed up random bike minutiae. I did not check the older readers/catalogs .
