Another economical and functional bottle dynamo is the AXA HR. Not as easy to find in the US, though you can get it via Dutch Bike Bits: http://www.dutchbikebits.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=131
I used one for a year on a couple bikes, and it worked well, though yes, a little noisy/draggy.
