I have clincher and tubular wheelsets for two bikes - my road bike, and a
cross frame that I built as an upright (ok, my clincher wheelset is being
built now for the latter).
On the road bike, I like the tubulars on a cold winter morning because they
ride soft immediately without needing to warm up. On the cross frame, the
tubulars are specific off-pavement tires, and the clinchers will wear
rounder road/gravel slicks.
