James, Thanks for sharing. I lived out there '74-'90. I wish I would of known about that route. Back then I rode mostly on pavement with skinny tires. One of our club rides started at Santa Ana train station and we rode down to Del Mar or San Diego and back then the rail road would let you put your bike in the baggage car on the last train of the day for the return to the train station. What a fun ride for you all. What a great group! Enjoyed the pictures. Jon
