I've been wanting to try Albastache bars since I got my Hillborne. Finally broke down and took the plunge this weekend. I usually put down a layer of Newbaum's to strap the cables down before adding my Brooks leather tape. When I was at Rivendell purchasing the bars I had a wacky notion to buy the eggplant-colored Newbaum's instead of black or natural.
