Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park to be specific. That fire trail leads up to the west ridge which was added to the park a while back, though I don't think it's officially open to the public yet (hence the need for gate jumping). If you go the right way and hop another gate you end up near the north end of the park. From there you can head back in the general direction of Sunol with park exits available on Longview, Golden Eagle Way, Foothill north of Sunol, Foothill in Sunol, and (if you'r up for an unapproved exit) at the end of Kilkare. It's a very nice area.
