Tony, I've not done a taste test of our organic cotton bandana material my wife sews the filters from, but they sure work great. Or, yes, just use a bandana and don't mess with sewing it into the cone shape (but a bandana is a lot bigger than the Helix needs, or a full sized drip cone for that matter). She also made me a tea infusion bag for my Scottish breakfast tea, so I'm all set! Grin.
