Maybe I've just never cared about these because I've never used a spacer,
always used 8 or 9 speed.  And it's been quite a while since I used 8 speed
at that.

I have a MTB with 7 speed but I've never removed the cassette and frankly
I'm not sure if it's a freehub or freewheel.
