I am certainly thin. Sounds as though my sartorial preferences may be opposite yours, however. I cannot stand, and do not wear skin tight riding garments. At least with pants and shorts I find regular fit can chaffe. So I prefer to wear looser pants and shorts.
I only use the MUSA on tours. They are perfect for that. Comfortable, pack small and well, and clean up easily. When it is cold I can easily wear a long legged base layer under them. When it is warm out, the loose fit allows plenty of ventilation.
