I am laughing as I type. I'll let you on into a secret: the photos of me riding and upright were staged. Unstaged, I was either 1/2 mile behind the Deacon or timidly walking my bike or falling over. (Nursing a beer and Ibuprofen as we talk.) I fell twice, and tried many other times. Even when awheel, I had a death grip on the bar as we skirted the Lake along a 50' dropoff.
