Great review! And having ridden with you on that bike while you on some of 
the  back side trails in china camp and marin headlands, you absolutely 
shredded it while I lagged a long ass ways behind you on my hunqapillar. 

To counterpoint though, I never felt any of that on my cheviot the brief 
time I had it. I think maybe because I went a size up (55 .v 50) and the 
bike felt unusually large and heavy. I usually ride a 52cm road bike (and a 
48cm hunq). But for the cheviot I went 55cm given rivendell's advice of 
going larger on that frame due to the lack of need reach (upright bars) and 
saddle height since it was a mixte. In hindsight, I should have gone with a 
50 and the smaller overall fame size might have been a better option that I 
would have stuck with. 

That being said, I am no where near as strong as a rider so definitely 
could be a case of the engine ;)
