I have a nice woodshop in the garage and no *need* for a hatchet but still 
feel the draw and appeal.  There is just something great about the 
experience of owning and using finely crafted tools.  Slightly off-topic... 
I've owned a Sven Saw like the ones at Riv for 25+ years and it was always 
one of the best backpacking products I've owned.  The curated tools they 
sell at B,B&H are just fantastic.
