[RBW] Hand made hack quick release Fenders!

After asking the group for fender recommendations, I bought Velo Oranges 
stainless. I found them to be too heavy, and they did not give me enough 
tire clearance. I then went and looked at Woody's wood fenders and found 
them to be too heavy too, and too thick for clearance with my 2.25 tires.

The fenders I used are Planet Bikes quick release model. The stock 
attachments are terrible, so I made fender clips that snap onto my *racks*, 
from ABS, using a heat gun, and they snap on with authority. I fine tuned 
the front ones for a safety release in case I suck up a stick. The fenders 
snap on and off in about 40 seconds. They are laterally far more rigid than 
all the permanent mounted fenders I have tried, as the wire stays are 
shorter and splay out more.  I glued and riveted a thin compound curved 
stainless strip to the front fender to increase lateral stiffness, which 
helped a wee bit. I had to remove and reposition the rear stock stays. You 
can see how short they are.
