I'll second Frederick's advice. "Fine for years" tells me you've worn through its usefulness. The discomfort you describe is exactly my experience on cushy plastic saddles that are supposed to be "comfortable": 15 minutes is all I can do before they turn unbearable. I think your Brooks has hit the too soft stage.
