Everyone else: Thanks for the congrats and good wishes! I guess it's not a coincidence that the bike arrived at the same day my therapist told me that I had more or less completed my grief journey. Seriously good timing, RBW.
Jeremy- The grips are Ergon grips (GP1, I think). I love the look of shellaced corks but NC is notoriously humid and sweaty palms are always a hazard, plus I never quite figured out how to make cork grips not move/slip out. Ergon grips are the only ones that are grippy, easy to clean, and fairly easy to install. They're even a bit cushy. Fenders and racks are definitely on the list. Or at least a small saddlebag with the tools and spare tubes. I'm also thinking that maybe a sturdier rack would be good for carrying 6-packs... Evan- I think it's a cross between sam hillborne blue (closer to sky blue) and atlantis aqua green-blue. It's not the same blue as Betty Foy, I think, but somewhere in the same family.
