I guess I'm used to it already, but I have a semi-TIGed CLEM so I've had plenty
of experience with them. I've always been a big proponent of this - the
possibility was floated by Grant when Riv first started - but got no traction
with it the last time I brought it up 7-or-so years ago. I like lugs, but I've
always felt that the real *thing* that makes a Riv is the design which yields a
fabulous ride, and Grant's eye for color and graphics. I suppose this goes back
to Bridgestone days when lugs showed up on the more expensive bikes, but
weren't the only way GP-designed bikes were produced.

Personally I like good steel bikes, and am not particularly picky about how the
tubes go together. I'm happy to see Rivendell bring the fight down to Surly
price levels 'cause, seriously, those suckers are EVERYWHERE.
