YUP. I've had a latex CX tube survive after my tire was punctured by the largest thorn I've ever seen (about 1" long and very very sharp but stubby.) I did pull it out right away because it was a noticeable bump as the wheel turned. Tube was fine. I kept the thorn as a keepsake.
