Rando bike: Topeak rachet rocket (I can almost take my entire bike apart with it), 5mm hex wrench to hold the Topeak chain tool, S&S wrench. Love that rachet rocket. I hate multitools, because they are too bulky in the wrong places.
2 tubes. 1 patch kit. tire levers. Lezyne tire pump (my treat to myself last year). spare tire (650 B isn't to be found out in the boonies. When I get a flat, particularly at night, easiest just to swap the tube and tire) spare derailleur and brake cables. (I have never yet broken a cable...) little bag of bits - bolts, spare cleat bolt, quicklink for the chain. Some duct tape. Other bikes: Tube. Patch kit. Cheap little multitool. Tire pump.
