Hello Patrick, Thumbs up on shopping for parts at Niagara Cycle. I get almost all of my non-Riv parts from them. They may not always have the cheapest price, but I find they have a huge selection. Very good customer service as well. The only problem I've ever had was the it can take a couple of days for them to ship the parts, whereas Riv and VO almost always seem to ship within 24 hours.
Nice job on the clamp modification. I enjoy getting into the work shop to solve problems like that, working with what's available. Glad to hear the S3X is working our for you. Are you getting use to the back lash? Is it more noticeable in the high gear (direct drive) or the lower gears?
