Great ride, Jon! My wife and I rode that or a predecessor in the early 90's when we were at DU, and found it very disconnected and difficult to navigate. We subsequently preferred to hit the hills and hike and backpack, and biking took a back seat for a few decades. That makes the trail sound causal to that, which was not the case. I was stuck in the racer mentality and couldn't see past that. I do remember being amazed by the open space down south.
