Wow,  definitely interesting.     I have to say, these discussions are
kind of amusing-   it seems no matter how personal an activity is, or
how arbitrary, sometimes recreational, or even artistic an activity
is, there are some people who will develop strict ideas about the
'proper' way to do it.


P.S.  as far as i know, Jaquie Phelan rode drop bars for her entire
MTB racing career(?)
