Thank you for brining this movie to my attention. It was a delight to watch. Was I ever that young, dumb, and full of such reckless energy? A *little* disappointed not to see a Clem being ridden, but so it goes. I can see this movie being used as evidence at a Senate committee hearing to outlaw these dangerous bicycles and keep our streets safe. But one only has to look at how many pedestrians are injured or killed by bicyclists as opposed to cars, the number of bicyclists killed by cars to see where the real threat is coming from. But yeah, these guys are not helping, and many times are saved from a crash by the good reaction times of others. It does seem selfish and self-centered to me, to be riding around the streets like like that, with very little regard for the safety and well-being of the other users. But they are young and dumb. There's plenty of kids who have wrapped cars around telephone poles and smeared themselves across the pavement on motorcycles. This is doubtless a much safer adrenaline rush than an overpowered car or motorcycle.
